Viviana Rendon, Teacher of the Year JRG Early ChildhoodViviana Rendon was recently honored as Teacher of the Year for the Jorge R. Gutierrez Early Childhood campus at Edcouch-Elsa ISD. Here are Viviana's reflections on being chosen for this honor in her own words:

"I am truly honored to be chosen as Teacher of the Year for my campus. The staff at JRG have been instrumental in helping me grow as an individual, as well as a professional. I admire the strong sense of community that exists at our school and in the community here in Edcouch–Elsa."

"Two years ago I got the opportunity to go into the teaching profession. It has been and will continue to be one of the most rewarding professions in my life. I became a teacher to be able to make a difference in a child’s life. To give them hope, to encourage and motivate them, and to give them the academic tools they need to achieve their goals. We, as teachers, strive every day to reach every one of our students, both academically and emotionally, in order to contribute to their academic success."

"It is my desire that all students achieve their goals and positively impact our future in the years to come."

Again, we congratulate Viviana Rendon!
